How Lip Enhancement Works at CHIC
Like dermal filler injections, lip injections can restore lost volume to the lips, making them appear firmer, more voluminous and younger looking.
Plan for about 30 to 45 minutes from start to finish. That includes time for the numbing cream to take effect and a brief review at the end. The actual injection typically takes 15 to 20 minutes.

Dr. George Kannab-Ayda is a licensed physician and pediatrician practicing in Montreal, quebec. He completed clinical training at the Montreal Children's hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital, affiliated with McGill University.

1. Consultation Before anything is injected, we talk. Your doctor will ask what you're hoping to achieve, assess your lip shape and facial anatomy, and recommend the right product and amount. There's no pressure to proceed the same day.
2. Numbing cream A topical anesthetic is applied to the lips and left to work for about 15 minutes. Most patients describe the sensation during injection as mild pressure — not pain.
3. Injection Using a fine needle, your doctor injects hyaluronic acid filler into the targeted areas. Placement is everything here — good results come from knowing exactly where to put it.
4. Shaping After injection, your doctor gently massages the area to distribute the filler evenly and refine the shape.
5. Review + aftercare You'll take a look together, discuss what to expect over the next few days, and leave with clear aftercare instructions.
Most patients can return to normal daily activities soon after treatment, but swelling, tenderness or bruising can be visible for several days. Swelling is often most noticeable during the first 24 to 72 hours and then gradually settles. We use hyaluronic acid fillers selected according to your anatomy, treatment goals, and the area being treated. Different formulations vary in firmness, flexibility, and projection, and your physician will recommend an appropriate option during your consultation.
